Please join us on Thursday, November 29th from 7 to 8 pm in the Norwich Inn for the second Pages in the Pub - an evening designed by the Book Jam Blog for people to meet in a local pub and discuss books, literature and reading, while raising money for Vermont libraries. During the event, attendees enjoy a glass of wine, beer or seltzer while listening to presenters from the Norwich Bookstore, the Norwich Public Library and The Book Jam Blog as they recommend their favorite books.
Expanding upon the wildly popular first Pages in the Pub in April, this November event will focus on recommendations for great books for holiday giving and reading. Participants will have an opportunity to order books presented. The Norwich Bookstore will donate 20% of the evening's sales to the Norwich Public Library.
Attendees pay a $10 “admission” fee that will support the event and be donated to the Norwich Public Library and the Green Mountain Library Consortium. The Norwich Bookstore will handle ticket sales (cash or check please). Due to space limitation, only the first 60 people who purchase tickets may attend. The April event sold out weeks in advance, so reserve your spot ASAP.
The Book Jam would like to thank The Vermont Community Foundation and the Norwich Bookstore for their support of Pages in the Pub.
In addition, the Norwich Inn
has generously agreed to donate 10% of the dinner proceeds that evening
to the NPL as well, so we encourage you to continue your book
discussion with friends in the Pub after the event.
The Book Jam is a unique blog by created by Lisa and Lisa, both of Norwich, devoted to promoting books, reading, independent bookstores, and public libraries. They feature book reviews as well as interviews with a wide variety of authors.
