Stacy Hopkins, founder and director of Scavenger Gallery in White River Junction, is one of the jewelers featured in a beautiful new book just published by Thames & Hudson, The New Jewelers: Desirable Collectable Contemporary.
The New Jewelers showcases fine, fashion, luxury, and conceptual jewelry by more than 100 designers - both up-and-coming and established artists. The sheer variety of their work - from geometric to organic, polished gems to feathers, rings to headpieces - is amazing. The range of designers is global, and for most of them this is the first time their work is appearing in book form.
Stacy Hopkins studied jewelry in Florence, Italy and uses natural forms and sculpture techniques in her work that is displayed in boutiques and gallery exhibitions in Europe and the US. In honor of her dedication to the environment, many of her collections contribute to land conservation and the preservation of endangered species. Her work was recently featured during Berlin Fashion week and in the Italian Vogue!
We will celebrate Stacy's inclusion in this volume during November's First Friday festivities at her gallery in WRJ, 6-8pm.
