A new novel from Walter Wetherell is always a treat! “Haunted house, haunted woman, haunted country, haunted hills.” Who can resist a novel with a first line like that?
Vera is stripping the wallpaper off the rooms of an old New England farmhouse that her sister has just bought. As she gets to the last layers, she discovers the handwritten story of a woman who lived in the house in 1919. Another room yields the tale of a woman from the ‘60s. The stories ultimately connect and give Vera insights into her own life.
Walter Wetherell lives in New Hampshire.
