A new perspective of the Nativity Story destined to become a Christmas classic.   One by one, the colorful birds of Bethlehem gather in the fields to eat breakfast--and to share their exciting news. Something unusual is happening. No--something amazing is happening! Some birds saw the inn in town filling up, some saw a man and his wife being led to a stable, and still others saw the night sky lighting up with angels. Although they all saw something different, they agree that this is a very special day indeed, and that they must go to the stable themselves to see what wonders await them.   Tomie dePaola is one of only five author/illustrators to be awarded a Newbery Honor and a Caldecott Honor. He has written and illustrated over 200 books in his 40 years in book publishing and has received awards and accolades from around the world too numerous to list…    Please note that Tomie is happy to sign his signature on all hardcovers and paperbacks purchased from the store. Unfortunately, in order to minimize aggravating his wrist injury, he will NOT be able to personalize books, and cannot sign board books or books brought from home. (Free and open to the public, no reservations needed.)
