Martin Philip, the head bread baker at King Arthur Flour will talk about his new book, Breaking Bread: A Baker's Journey Home in 75 Recipes, that he partially wrote at the Howe Library!
Breaking Bread is a unique combo of memoir and cookbook chronicling Philip's life growing up in the Ozark mountains, being an opera singer, a banjo player, and even working in the corporate finance world in NYC. A meditation on craft and love, it is also an intimate portrait of baking and our communion with food.
Seventy-five original recipes are illustrated with dozens of photographs and drawings.
The Norwich Bookstore will be on hand with copies of the book available for purchase and autographing.
