Join Lisa Cadow and Lisa Christie of The Book Jam, a bookseller from the Norwich Bookstore, a librarian, and a community reader, for a special evening at the Norwich Inn to benefit the Norwich Library!
Pages in the Pub is an evening designed by The Book Jam for people to meet and discuss books, literature, and reading, while raising money for the Norwich Public Library and sipping a cold brew (or wine or seltzer). During the event, presenters share brief descriptions of favorite books - including great gift suggestions - while attendees listen and choose which they might like to order. The Norwich Bookstore will donate 20% of the evening's sales to the Norwich Public Library.
Order forms are filled out and collected that evening. The bookstore will notify you when your books have arrived and are ready for pickup at the store - usually within ten days.
Tickets have sold out and we have starting a waiting list. Advance tickets - available in October- must be purchased at the Norwich Bookstore. Tickets are $20, which includes one complimentary beverage. Cash or check only please. Traditionally, this event sells out early so we cannot reserve or hold tickets without payment. Seating at the Inn is limited to the first 60 people. Doors open at 6:30, the program runs from 7:00 to 8:00, and guests are welcome to stay after the event for dinner.
The Book Jam is a unique blog by created by Lisa and Lisa, both of Norwich, devoted to promoting books, reading, independent bookstores, and public libraries. They feature book reviews as well as interviews with a wide variety of authors. Be sure to check out their new website and sign up to get their posts via email.
