Yiyun Li | Cleopatra Mathis Poetry & Prose Reading Series :: Dartmouth College

y liThe English & Creative Writing Department welcomes Yiyun Li to read from and talk about her work. Her most recent novel, Where Reasons End, is the depiction of a moving conversation between a mother and the son she has just lost to suicide.

Yiyun Li, a native of Beijing and a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, is the recipient of many awards, including a PEN/Hemingway Award and a MacArthur Foundation fellowship, and was named by The New Yorker as one of the “20 Under 40” fiction writers to watch. She has now published a memoir and five novels. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, A Public Space, The Best American Short Stories, and The O. Henry Prize Stories, among other publications. She teaches at Princeton University.
